AVX’s EtherHelix GPS Quad Helix Isolated Magnetic Dipole 1.575GHz antennas are mission-critical GPS antennas that provide high performance in a small package with simple design rules. The isolated magnetic dipole (IMD) enables a smaller keepout area for a smaller effective size than competing antennas. The antennas are right hand circular polarized with a 120° beam width, 27% average efficiency, and the ability to handle continuous waves up to half a watt.
They weigh just 11.8g and are 34.93mm tall with a 15.0mm diameter, with a standard SMA male connector for simple mating. The small size and lightweight of the AVX EtherHelix antenna makes it an ideal GPS antenna in cell phones, navigation equipment, and other mobile devices.
