Maxim Integrated Himalaya uSLIC Power Modules

Maxim Integrated’s MAXM17635 Himalaya uSLIC Power Modules provide designers a tiny and highly efficient 2A power supply that requires no design expertise in power conversion.

The MAXM17635 integrates the controller, MOSFETs, inductor, and compensation components in a compact and low-profile 24-pin uSLIC package. It requires only a few external passives to complete the design, significantly reducing design complexity, saving time and leading to a much smaller overall footprint.

The MAXM17635 also has built-in soft-start and prebias-startup functionality, robust protections, and complies with CISPR 32 Class B conducted and radiated emissions. The modules operate from a wide 4.5V to 36V input that provides margin for supply variations, and the output is adjustable from 0.9V to 12V, with fixed 3.3V and 5.0V variants available.

Various operating modes and a wide frequency range enable operation at greater than 90% efficiency across a wide range of input and output conditions, and the modules are rated for operation at up to 125°C.
