Panasonic Low Profile Lens PIR Sensor

Panasonic’s EKMB and EKMC low-profile lens PIR motion sensors provide comparable performance to their standard lens counterparts but at a height of just 10.9 millimeters.

The sensors can detect objects up to 5 meters away and have 32 detection zones covering a 110 by 110-degree field of view. Panasonic offers the EKMB and EKMC low-profile PIR sensors with an analog output for adjustable sensitivity, or with a digital output with various sensitivity levels.

Digital output sensors also include options for standby current as low as 1 microamp to support battery-powered and energy harvesting applications. Low profile applications include lighting controls, thermostats, IP cameras, and other slimmer profile design trends.

  • 10.9mm profile, ~25% reduction from 14.4mm standard height lens
  • Specified detection distance: up to 5m
  • Detection zones: 32
  • Field of view: 110° x 110°
  • Output types: analog (adjustable sensitivity), digital (low, standard, high sensitivity)
Standby current consumption available in 1, 2, and 6 µA
