This New Product Brief (NPB) is part of a video series highlighting the features, applications, and technical specs of newly-released products.

BlueNRG-1 Bluetooth Low Energy

STMicroelectronics BlueNRG-1 BLE wireless SoC that enables smaller, lower power BLE devices that are easier to implement. The BlueNRG-1 provides developers a 2.4 GHz radio, high-efficiency DC/DC converter, and an energy efficient Cortex-M0 that runs application code in addition to the BLE stack, reducing the design footprint and cost compared to solutions requiring a separate MCU.

The BLE wireless SoC also includes a digital filter for PDM streams from digital microphones and a 10-bit ADC to interface with the integrated battery monitor or external analog sensors. The BlueNRG-1 is available in an automotive grade variant and is ideal for use in beacons, automotive, wearable, medical, and automation applications.
