This episode of Tech Specs is part of a video series highlighting the features, applications, and technical specs of newly-released products.

Vishay Power Metal Strip SMD Resistors WSL Series

The Vishay’s WSL Power Metal Strip SMD Resistors are AEC-Q200 qualified WSL series goes from 0.5 ohms down to 0.0005 ohms. This enables the use of a single WSL series resistor instead of multiple higher value resistors in parallel. The WSL series is offered with 0.5% or 1% tolerance to maximize current sensing accuracy. They have a solid metal resistive element that performs well in pulsed applications, and their construction results in very low inductance. Vishay WSL Series Power Metal Strip resistors have a wide operating temperature range coupled with a very low Resistance Temperature Coefficient for stable performance across temperature, and they’re available in case of sizes from 0603 to 2816.
