Bourns PQ Series inductors are built with low winding resistance flat wire and a low loss ferrite core that combine for extremely low DC and AC losses for saturation currents from a few amps to over 100 amps.

This episode of Tech Specs is part of a video series highlighting the features, applications, and technical specs of newly-released products.

Bourns PQ Series Inductors

Bourns PQ Series inductors are built with low winding resistance flat wire and a low loss ferrite core that combine for extremely low DC and AC losses for saturation currents from a few amps to over 100 amps. The PQ series is AEC-Q200 compliant and rated for operation up to 155 degrees Celsius, with a third solder tab under the body opposite of the inductor contacts to improve mechanical stability. This means you can use PQ series inductors to boost efficiency in automotive power conversion applications as well as high current applications in consumer, industrial, medical, and telecom designs. The inductors have a 28-mm x 28-mm plastic base and are offered with inductance values from 1 to 33 microhenries.

  • Low AC and DC losses (DCR as low as 1.29 mΩ)
  • Saturation current from 3.3 A to >100 A
  • AEC-Q200 compliant
  • -40°C to +155°C operating temperature range
  • 28 mm x 28 mm plastic body with third solder tab for improved mechanical stability
  • Inductance values: 1 µH to 33 µH
