CDE HHT Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors | Tech Specs

December 05, 2017 by TTI, Inc

CDE’s HHT aluminum electrolytic capacitors deliver stable capacitance for mission-critical applications in high temperature, high vibration environments.

In this video series from TTI, we showcase new products and highlight their specs.

CDE HHT Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors

CDE’s HHT aluminum electrolytic capacitors deliver stable capacitance for mission-critical applications in high temperature, high vibration environments.

They have rated voltages up to 40 volts DC, ripple current ratings up to 10 amps RMS, and a rated operational life of 2000 hours at temps up 175°C and vibration up to 20g, or 5000 hours at temps up to 150°C. Even my first car, with no A/C, driving down a dirt road in the middle of summer, couldn't take these capacitors down. They're designed for applications like down-hole oil drilling or leading-edge aerospace (or extreme off-highway applications, as the case may be).

HHT capacitors are available from 470 to 4700 microfarads, and a patented glass-to-metal seal prevents the electrolyte from drying out—maintaining capacitance and ESR over the life of the capacitor at a considerably lower cost than the wet-tantalum alternative.

  • Temperature Range: -40°C to +175°C
  • Rated Voltage Range: 16 VDC to 40 VDC
  • Rated Current: Up to 10 ARMS
  • DC Life Test: 2,000 h @ full load, 175 ˚C
  • Capacitance Range: 470µF to 4,700 µF
