CDE ULP Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors
The Cornell Dubilier ULP ultra-low profile aluminum electrolytic capacitors can replace entire arrays of capacitors while using up to 70% less board space.
ULP capacitors are 2 or 3 millimeters thick, utilizing high-gain foils and a unique packaging and seal system for energy density up to 0.4 joules per cubic centimeter. With values from 500 to 24,000 microfarads and 4 to 63 working volts DC, ULP capacitors can replace up to 160 solid tantalum chip caps.
ULP capacitors connect with an FPC for on- or off-board design flexibility. They also increase reliability, due to have fewer components and fewer connection points, and they’ve been extensively tested to a rating of 3000 hours at 85°C.
