This New Product Brief (NPB) is part of a video series highlighting the features, applications, and technical specs of newly-released products.
MICROCHIP SAM E51 Touch Curiosity Evaluation Kit
The Microchip Technology SAM E51 Integrated Graphics and Touch Curiosity Evaluation Kit is a hardware platform to evaluate the SAME51J20A microcontroller.
It is supported by the MPLAB® X Integrated Development Environment and MPLAB Harmony v3 software development framework.
Outside of the SAME51J20A microcontroller, the kit includes a user LED, on-board debugger, 8MB of flash, an on-board CAN transceiver, and a 480 by 320 pixel TFT display with 16-bit color.
The on-board debugger includes the IDE, a power and status LED, a virtual COM port and a logic analyzer.
The evaluation kit provides easy access to the features of the SAM E51 MCU to integrate the device into a custom design. Because the evaluation kit contains an On-Board Nano Debugger for programming and debugging, no external tools are necessary to program the SAME51J20A device.
