Microchip Technology dsPIC33CK Digital Signal Controllers

Microchip dsPIC33CK 16-bit digital signal controllers provide fast, deterministic performance for motor control, digital power, safety-critical and high-performance embedded applications.

The dsPIC33CK integrates MCU control functions and DSP computational capability in a single core. The 16-bit MCU runs at up to 100MHz, with performance up to 100MIPS. It includes up to 256KB of dual partition program flash with ECC and supports the live update functionality required in high-availability systems. The device also includes up to 24KB of DATA SRAM and dual 40-bit fixed point accumulators for DSP operations.

To support use in automotive and safety functions, the dsPIC33CK is available with CAN-FD in addition to UART, LIN, SPI, I2C, and SENT interfaces. It also has the ability to verify memory integrity, with ECC fault injection to test the flash and a memory built-in self-test function for the RAM. The DSC includes dual-windowed watchdog timers, a deadman timer, power-on/brown-out reset, and a fail-safe clock monitor with a backup oscillator. CodeGuard security and ICSP write protect program data from alteration and unauthorized access.

The dsPIC33CK is AEC-Q100 Grade 1 qualified and available in 28-pin to 80-pin packages in SSOP, QFN, UQFN, and TQFP variants. It offers programmable pin selection for flexible peripheral pin function mapping, and a dual-core version, the dsPIC33CH, is also available.
