Microchip Technology PIC18F66K40 8-Bit Microcontrollers

Microchip PIC18F66K40 are large memory 8-bit MCUs with Microchip’s Core Independent Peripherals for general purpose embedded designs. CIPs offload common functions from the core into hardware, where they operate and exchange data without interrupting the core, enabling the use of these low-cost 8-bit MCUs in more demanding applications.

CIPs on the PIC18F66K40 include analog, safety, timing, and waveform control, and the MCUs can implement touch buttons and sliders using the 47-channel, 10-bit ADC with computation. As CIPs are self-sustaining, the core can perform other tasks or be set to a lower power state, lowering the total system power consumption while still performing critical system tasks.
