This New Product Brief (NPB) is part of a video series highlighting the features, applications, and technical specs of newly-released products.

Vicor VI Chip DCM DC-DC Converter Modules

Vicor VI Chip DCM DC-DC converter modules are designed to let designers optimize the size, weight, and cost of power systems in industrial process and controls, automotive, and military applications. The modules use a high-frequency ZVS topology and generate an isolated output from a wide range of input voltages. DCM modules are available using Vicor’s compact, lightweight ChiP packaging technology that offers flexible thermal management, or VIA modules, which include EMI filtering, enhanced thermal management, and tighter output regulation. Vicor VI Chip DCM Converter modules are available with outputs up to 600 W and are ideally paired with Cool-Power ZVS buck regulators in point-of-load power supplies for maximum system efficiency.

  • Nominal Inputs: 24 VDC to 300 VDC
  • Nominal Outputs: 3.3 VDC to 48 VDC
    • Power density: up to 1,244 W/in3
  • Peak Efficiency: 93%
  • Isolation: Up to 4,242 VDC
  • DCM Via modules: Filtering, remote/local sense, enhanced thermal management, tight output regulation
