ITD 2023 Day 3: The Cold, Hard Challenges of Building Quantum ICs and Computers

October 04, 2023 by Dale Wilson

We are getting an early start on Day 3 of ITD 2023 with three live webinars kicking off before the sun comes up in the US. You also won't want to miss today's keynote from IBM discussing their quantum computing hardware. Join us all day for great live sessions and more educational content.

Welcome to Day 3 of Industry Tech Days 2023, as we continue our week-long virtual trade show and conference, sponsored by DigiKey and in partnership with electronica!

At this year's conference, you can interact, right from your home or office, with industry leaders across a digital expo floor and attend live sessions. If you haven't registered yet, don't worry; it's not too late to join the fun and even catch up with previous day's content, available on-demand.

Below we'll highlight today's events. If you have any issues finding your way around, please refer to our Guide to Industry Tech Days.

Keynote: "Quantum Computing: Sci-Fi Technology Requires Real-World Engineering"

Today's keynote is sponsored by Mouser Electronics and begins at 9:00 AM Eastern Time. Our host, Daniel Bogdanoff, will be chatting with Oliver Dial, the CTO at IBM Quantum. A decade after demonstrating the first entanglement of semiconducting spin quantum bits, or qubits, Dial joins us to provide insights into the hardware challenges of building quantum ICs, operating systems at cryogenic temperatures, and where quantum computing goes from here.
