KEMET Electronics Power Film Capacitors | New Product Brief
This New Product Brief (NPB) is part of a video series highlighting the features, applications, and technical specs of newly-released products.
KEMET Electronics Power Film Capacitors
KEMET Electronics JSN series chip capacitors are unencapsulated, stacked, metalized polyester film capacitors with flat terminations that deliver long life and high reliability in harsh applications. JSN series capacitors offer low ESR for low loss and low ESL for use in high-frequency applications.
The metalized PET dielectric offers inherent self-healing and elasticity properties that improve reliability. The JSN series doesn’t exhibit a piezoelectric effect and the capacitors have a nonpolarized construction that results in low self-heating in AC filtering applications.
Capacitors are available from 5.6µF to 82µF in 6080 and 60115 chip sizes with voltage ratings up to 250VDC.
KEMET JSN series capacitors are AEC-Q200 qualified and rated for operation at up to 125°C, and are ideal for input and output filtering in power converters or handling high-frequency harmonics as a DC-Link capacitor.
