AAC’s Digital Datasheet video series introduces the specs and applications of components—both new and familiar—straight from their datasheets.

Molex LTE and 5G External Cellular Antennas

Molex off-the-shelf LTE and 5G external cellular antennas are multi-protocol antennas that enable superior coverage and a reliable connection for cellular modules and devices.

The antennas cover frequency bands from 698MHz to 5GHz, supporting GSM, CDMA, UMTS, LTE, 5G NR and other cellular protocols as well as Wi-Fi and other 2.4GHz protocols, enabling their use in many different applications. They feature a hinged SMA-J connector that allows for 90° rotation in the vertical plane and 180° rotation in the horizontal plane, providing installation flexibility and enhancing directional coverage. Molex LTE and 5G external cellular antennas offer high radiation efficiency and peak gain up to 5.5dBi to ensure a strong and reliable connection.

They’re rated for operation from -40°C to +85°C, making them ideal for use in commercial vehicles as well as connected home, IoT, telecom and networking applications.
