Day 5: Closing Out Industry Tech Days With a Bang—and a Panel Discussion

September 03, 2020 by Kate Smith

This is the final day of Industry Tech Days 2020 but don't think we're letting up for a single minute. Here's your menu of Live Sessions, your way to navigate the last 50+ pages of content

Today is Day 5, the final installment of Industry Tech Days. It's been quite the journey but we're excited to share this strong last stretch with you. Check out the menu of Live Sessions and our pretigious Keynote Session below!

First, though, for those of you of who missed it, yesterday's Keynote Session featured Dev Singh, Head of Autonomous Robotics, Drones and Intelligent Machines at Qualcomm, as he explained the challenges and benefits of implementing autonomous robotics across a range of applications.

Host Dave Finch (engineer, New York Times best-selling author, and host of the All About Circuits podcast) talks with Singh through topics like how heterogeneous computing can serve as something of a Swiss army knife across these various applications that are compute-intensive.

You can register to attend the live recording or get access to the on-demand recording after it airs here.

You can also peruse the on-demand version of yesterday's Live Sessions by checking out article outlining Day 4.

Even though the event's live sessions conclude this evening, you'll be able to navigate Industry Tech Days content and exhibitor booths through the weekend, so be sure to utilize the content filters and conference tracks on our event navigation page. Take advantage of today's Live Session Q&As and the availability of exhibitor Live Chat functions on the booths listed on the Guide to Industry Tech Days page.

Day 5 Keynote Panel: "The Emergence of the Virtual Supply Chain in a COVID-19 World"

By Mark Burr-Lonnon (Keynote Speaker Senior VP of Global Service & EMEA and APAC Business at Mouser Electronics), Dave Doherty (President/COO at Digi-Key Electronics), and Frank McKay (Senior VP & Chief Procurement Officer at Jabil, Inc.)

Bright and early this morning, 8 a.m. Eastern, we'll kick off the final series of Live Sessions with our only panel-style Keynote Session. Dave Finch, our host for all of the Keynotes, will welcome three speakers who all offer perspective from the component manufacturing and distribution side of supply chains.

In this session, you'll hear these speakers compare notes on how supply chains have been evolving and how COVID-19 has inexorably moved component sourcing into a virtual setting.

Join us live for this event or catch up later with the on-demand version whenever you want by registering for this Keynote Session here.

Friday's Live Sessions

The final day of Industry Tech Days 2020 forges ahead with another strong lineup of Live Sessions. This is your opportunity to ask questions of industry-leading experts in real-time so I highly recommend attending live if you have the chance.

Please note that all of the times listed below are in the Eastern time zone whereas your Industry Tech Days navigation page will show these times in your native time zone instead.

As we've done for the last four days, we'll be announcing a random winner of a prize package at each of these Live Sessions. Attend any (or all!) of the above for your chance to win a dev board, a soldering mat, and an event t-shirt. If you miss out on a live presentation or just want to rewatch one you did catch, all of the above will be available as on-demand videos soon after their live recording time.

And the Grand Prize Winner Is...

Just kidding. (Sorry.) We'll be announcing the grand prize winner this evening, so look out for our closing post to learn if you're the lucky audience member who's getting their very own commercial-grade LulzBot 3D printer!

We've still got a lot in store until the event wraps up this evening, so stay with us and go interact with the experts while they're here.
