Microchip SAM E54 Xplained Pro

Microchip’s SAME54 Xplained Pro Evaluation Kit enables the development of low-power and secure connected designs for industrial and automotive applications.

The kit is based on the ATSAME54P20A, which features:

  • An Arm® Cortex®-M4 processor with FPU running at up to 120MHz.
  • An Ethernet MAC.
  • two CAN-FD interfaces with extensive sleep modes and class-leading active power performance.

In addition to the Microcontroller (MCU), the board includes:

  • A 256Mb QSPI flash, a CryptoAuthentication™ device.
  • A CAN Transceiver.
  • An SD card slot.

The MCU’s Ethernet MAC is supported by a Microchip PHY, an RJ45 connector with built-in magnetics, and a serial EEPROM with a unique, pre-programmed 48-bit MAC address.

The kit also includes current measurement circuitry that measures the power consumption of the MCU, peripherals, or both as well as an onboard embedded debugger that includes a virtual COM port, and Data Gateway Interface. For more information, visit Microchip.com.
