AAC’s Digital Datasheet video series introduces the specs and applications of components—both new and familiar—straight from their datasheets.

Panasonic EZP V Series Metallized Polypropylene Plastic Film Capacitors

Panasonic’s EZP-V Series Metallized Polypropylene Plastic Film Capacitors are designed for DC link circuits and DC filtering in solar inverters, EV charging stations, industrial power supplies, and other harsh applications. The EZP-V Series combines a small case size with voltage ratings up to 1100 volts DC, current ratings up to nearly 30 amps RMS, and capacitance values up to 110 microfarads. Their construction provides self-healing properties for high reliability and long-life while a built-in fuse ensures a safe open condition rather than a short circuit in the unlikely event of a failure.

The EZP-V Series has high humidity resistance for reliable operation in outdoor applications and has a flame-retardant epoxy resin coating for use in fire safety applications. The EZP-V Series Film Capacitors have low loss and low ESR for improved efficiency.  AEC-Q200 compliant parts are available for use in on-board chargers and power conversion in automotive applications.
